What it is

You can already hear this. You know when a song turns sad, when a melody climbs, when a chord goes sour — you might just not have a name for it yet.

Jellytone takes the ear you already have and makes a game out of it. Candy-colored maps, boss levels, combo multipliers, a squishy jelly note cheering you on. It's the kind of thing you open at nine at night on the couch, and the ear training is what happens while you're playing.

What's in it

The modes so far

Sweet & Sour — hear a chord, name its flavor. Ups & Downs — two chords, did it go higher or lower? Taffy Stretch — name the distance between two notes. Jelly Roll — name the progression, from three-chord rock to a jazz turnaround.

Chapters, maps, and bosses

Levels come in chapters of ten, each closing with a boss. Illustrated maps, three-star ratings, combo multipliers. Banked points never go down — nothing you earn gets taken away. There are hundreds of levels in the beta build already, and more going in.

Pick your instrument

Piano, guitar, or bass. Three parallel journeys with their own progress, played on real sampled instruments — actual timbre, not synth beeps.

A new one every day

Daily Jam is one seeded challenge a day, the same for everyone. Every map also has endless Free Play once you've opened it.

Trying the beta

Jellytone is in beta on TestFlight. Join the beta on TestFlight, install Apple's TestFlight app, and Jellytone installs like a normal app. If the beta is full, the link will say so.

It's an early build, so some of it is rough. Test builds expire and get replaced by the next one, so you'll see updates land. TestFlight uses your Apple Account — Jellytone itself has no account and never asks you to make one. If it turns out not to be for you, delete it and that's that.

If you play it a few times, we'd love to hear what happened — support@revvinschown.com. The thing we most want to know is what made you open it a second time. Sound on, though — the whole thing is sound.

When

No release date yet. It's waiting on what the beta tells us.

Your data

Jellytone works offline. No account, no sign-up, and no ads — nothing interrupts the audio, ever. While it's in beta, the game sends usage numbers so we can see what people play and where they stop, with no account and no name attached to any of it. The Jellytone privacy policy spells out exactly what that covers.
